50 Cups of Coffee Can Change Your Life
Last week while I was scrolling youtube, I came across this fascinating video named 50 cups of coffee challenge. Oh man, anyone who would consume 50 cups in a sitting would die by exploding their heart. However, it's not just about having coffee, it's more about making connections. Connect with people over coffee who are outside of your social network.
Now, this sounds interesting. It means you spend time with someone over a cup of coffee sharing your thoughts, ideas, perspectives or just some stories. After having 50 cups with 50 people, the way your mind functions will completely change. It is not going to be easy. Sending a cold DM to someone and asking them to spend time with you is hard. I read somewhere that if you don't ask, the answer is always 'no'.
Some tips for your first coffee:
Make the most of that coffee. Be focused and keep it short. Not everyone will like spending a lot of time with you over the first cup of coffee.
Be honest and say what you want. Faking it or making up stories can easily be noticed.
Being yourself is the best thing you can do. Let the conversation be valuable.
Don't try to pitch, sell, interview or impress the other person. Their time, advice and story is everything you can ask for a short coffee meeting.
What do I need to do to get coffee with anyone?
Firstly, make up your mind whether you want to do this online or offline. It's easier to get busy people on zoom. But, you'll get a lot more value when you are sitting face to face. Find a good time where the other person would be free and willing to spend time with you. The other person should not be in a hurry. People love to hear stories. Share some insightful stories with them which would make them curious about your journey. After meeting them, be grateful. There is no greater joy than feeling grateful.
Consciously or Subconsciously, this is what I have been doing with Brewed Stories Podcast. I just wanted to brew amazing stories over a cup of coffee. I find it so insightful and valuable to spend time with the guests (and have coffee with them) because they represent many walks of life.
Here's the youtube video on 50 cups coffee challenge.
What is Happiness?
Happiness is a concept that is extremely hard to define. There are moments when you could be extremely happy or unhappy. Your definition of happiness could differ from my definition of happiness. But there is a feeling that makes you feel as if you are content. Below is a quote from Naval that struck me:
Happiness is a state when nothing is missing. When nothing is missing, you mind shuts down and stops running into the past or future to regret something or to plan something.
Children are generally happy since they are so engrossed in the moment. They care about playing, not worrying about the past or the future. Being in a Neutral State is a state of perfection.

Priyank Mehta, a fitness coach, and I recently recorded a podcast together. I have seen him consistently upgrading his lifestyle and inspiring many others through his platform (@getsetfit). I've been thinking about being consistent, but it's tough. I found a quote in James Clear's Newsletter. So I decided to do an episode on being consistent.
“Most people need consistency more than they need intensity.
Intensity:-run a marathon, write a book in 30 days, silent meditation retreat
Consistency:-don't miss a workout for 2 years, write every week, daily silence
Intensity makes a good story. Consistency makes progress.”
So this podcast is my lesson on how could I be more consistent. It was a great discussion. I strongly encourage anyone who struggles with consistency to take 30 minutes and listen to this episode.
Until Next Week,
